Ollama

Who is it for?

Ollama is the local-provider option for people who run a local service on their own device.

Prerequisites

Have the local service and an appropriate model available on your device. Product support still depends on released readiness.

Check readiness

Use the approved agent or product status view. A prepared adapter is not evidence of a released product capability.

Choose a model

Choose only from models shown by the approved product flow. Do not assume broad model compatibility.

Limits

Local availability depends on your device and the released product capability. Flow workflow inference is not available. After the matching release, the separate Provider Preview may issue one explicit neutral request capped at 32 output tokens; it remains invite-only, is not a workflow run, and requires entitlement, product-specific pairing, and a local Ollama grant.

Cancellation and errors

Use the product's cancel action and review its non-sensitive status message. Do not retry by exposing a service publicly.

Privacy and credentials

The local service stays on your device. Do not share credentials, logs, or connection details in public channels.

Compatibility

See agent compatibility and provider overview.

Troubleshooting

Confirm the local service is running, then use the approved status view. If it remains unavailable, report only non-confidential diagnostics.
